Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure is a very special exhibition, it is the first time a show has been presented from the families perspective. The exhibit showcases hundreds of never or rarely seen works from the families collection. Basquait was a multidisciplinary artist expressing his message through paintings, drawings and multimedia presentations his full arsenal is on display. Daniel Arsham: Wherever You Go, There You Are
Explore the creative & inspiring work of Daniel Arsham, as he graces OCMA with his first solo major US museum show. Daniel wears many hats as a creative and this exhibit demonstrates in true nature. Wherever You Go, There You Are displays sculptures, drawings, architecture , design and much more. Daniels work often presents a theme of what the future may represent by creating present objects in an eroded form labeled with future dates such as “3023”. With more than 30 works on display, after observing you might find yourself questioning what year we are living in…The exhibit is available for viewing February 14, 2023 - June 4, 2023 @ OCMA. Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) was established in 1903 and is among the 10th largest museums in the USA. Located in the arts district of Dallas, this museum encompasses more than 24,000 pieces of art from all cultures & time periods. With so much real estate DMA is able to host events, lectures, concerts, exhibits all while preserving the main global gallery. Explore the life & legacy of artist & activist Tupac Shakur through a fully immersive visual experience. Created in collaboration with the Shakur Estate, this exhibit displays contemporary art, and never before seen artifacts from Tupac’s personal archives.
