Basquiat: King Pleasure

Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure is a very special exhibition, it is the first time a show has been presented from the families perspective. The exhibit showcases hundreds of never or rarely seen works from the families collection. Basquait was a multidisciplinary artist expressing his message through paintings, drawings and multimedia presentations his full arsenal is on display. One of the biggest surprises would be a recreation of his studio and childhood home. With 4 separate rooms, make sure you have plenty of time to explore… but for now enjoy the gallery below! Dallas Museum of Art

Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) was established in 1903 and is among the 10th largest museums in the USA. Located in the arts district of Dallas, this museum encompasses more than 24,000 pieces of art from all cultures & time periods. With so much real estate DMA is able to host events, lectures, concerts, exhibits all while preserving the main global gallery. In 2013 the museum returned to free general admission, and since have welcomed millions of visitors. If you make a trip to Dallas,Texas be sure to reserve a FREE ticket.

One of the biggest and first art experiences since the pandemic lockdown, Desert X is a must see. After 25 years, the LA Art Show is very familiar with the turn out of people visiting the event. However, this year more than 70 thousand people showed up in just 4 days. Known as the most comprehensive international contemporary art show in america, you can expect artwork from all across the world! Galleries from 23 different countries all meeting up in one place, for one weekend. While the LA Art Show celebrates its 25th Anniversary, you may have noticed (above) many artist celebrating LA’s iconic basketball superstar Kobe Bryant. Just days after his passing, multiple artist brought memorial pieces to put up on display to honor the cities legend. Below you find an abundance of art, ranging from fashion & design to modern + contemporary. Let us know in the comments what your favorite piece or pieces are!
